
As we get closer to this year’s WWDC keynote, Apple has flipped the switch on its traditional X hashmoji.
The custom icon now appears automatically next to any post that includes #WWDC25, and it should look pretty familiar to anyone who’s seen Apple’s promotional art for the event.

Although barely noticeable at such a small size, the hashmoji features the Apple logo rendered in the same translucent white material, accented with the soft rainbow hues Apple has been using throughout this year’s pregame WWDC visuals.
For years, Apple has used hashmojis on X to promote and build hype before, during, and after its events. And with less than a week to go, the WWDC buzz is officially underway.
That includes Greg Joswiak, Apple’s SVP of Marketing, who posted the following on X earlier today, hashmoji and all:
